This is a 1961 McCulloch F1 Kart. It has been restored to like new by me. Believe me I did not cut any corners as you can see from the pictures. McCulloch only made frames in ’61 and ’62. I have a copy of a test that showed that the F1 was acuatlly faster than the R1 which was the racing version. This is the same model kart that was restored on the History Channel show American Restorations. The frame was sandblasted and a new floor pan was welded in. It was then powdercoated. The axle and bearings are new. The plastic bushings for the spindles were replaced. The brake caliper is original but the disc and hub are new.The tires are NOS. The sprockets and hubs are Azusa NOS. The seat back tank is original. The seat is new and was made using the original blueprints. The engines are McCulloch 91B’s. The one on the right was completely rebuilt by Terry Ives. He replaced the crank,rod,piston, all gaskets etc. He also did a total rebuild on the carb. Terry is the best and my bill from Him was over $1000. The engine on the left was purchased on E-bay and was also completely rebuilt as was the carb. Both carbs are BDC 14′s set up for gas. Neither engine has been run since rebuilds. The clutches are brand new never used Max-Torque 10 tooth. This kart will pass a VKA inspetion as all bolts have been drilled and cotter pinned. I have a color copy of the original owner’s manual as well as all ebay info on parts and work orders. To build a shipping crate to my standards cost me $100 in materials. Freight via truck to a place of business with freight service will be $350. So total shipping cost will be $450 to anywhere in the 48 States.
